Radiation Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Lubbock, Texas
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 7:00–15:00
- Weekly hours: 40
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Setting: Children’s hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Schedule & Work Conditions
- No floating between units
- No on-call
- No weekends
- No block scheduling
- Patient ratio: 20 patients to 1 radiation therapist
- 48 hours not approved
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Texas
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card, as applicable for I-9
- Education verification
- Background check
- Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Skills checklist
- Radiation badge
Required Health Documentation
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask
- Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID, flu-season documentation
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- Respiratory safety clearance
