Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Contract Length
13 weeks
Unit Overview
Cares for obstetric patients 20+ weeks gestation, including labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OB emergency/triage evaluations, and postpartum surgical patients such as tubal ligations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- NRP
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in the related nursing specialty
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting
Onboarding / Training
- New experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- New hires complete organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Services-specific competency validation
- Annual competency verification is required
Additional Notes
- Temp-to-perm may be an option if department openings are available at the end of the contract
