Registered Nurse — Orthopedic/Neurology Unit

- Nights, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend and holiday
- May be required to float to other units
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NIHSS
- BLS
- Neurology experience within the last year
- 1 year of neurology experience
- Orthopedics experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice laws
- Document care according to standards of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction
- Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities
- Use clinical expertise to support other units or departments as needed
- Apply critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience concerns
