Job Overview

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Weekend schedule: Rotating weekends

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alaska
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
Prior Emergency Department experience
ACLS
BLS
PALS
TNCC
NIHSS
ENPC
CPI

Preferred Experience

Stroke experience
STEMI experience
Trauma experience
Pediatrics experience

Unit Details

Emergency department with 20 headwall beds and 4 hallway spaces
Typical patient ratio: 4:1, or 6:1 for low-acuity ESI 4 and 5 patients
Common procedures include splinting and breathing treatments

Work Environment

Team includes charge RN, flow coordinator, RNs, ED techs, and US staff
Shift coverage varies across day, mid, and night shifts
Preferred candidate traits: flexible, transparent, positive, outgoing, efficient, and a team player

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs, appropriately fitted
