RN - Med Surg
Job Overview
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama
- Employment type: Travel

- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS issued by American Heart Association
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Oncology experience
Assignment Details
- Float as needed within scope, including to other facilities within a 25-mile radius
- Patient population includes oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Unit has 18 beds
Work Environment
- Basic equipment includes computer, IV pump, and vital sign machine
- EMR used: Cerner
- Scrub color: Navy
- Only scrubs and scrub jackets are allowed
