Job Overview

Unit Details
- Unit: Surgical/Trauma
- Bed count: 24
- Patient population: Post-operative and trauma patients
- Patient ratio: 1:5, with a maximum of 1:6
- Staffing support: Unit secretary on days; 2 techs on days and nights
- Floating: Based on house needs
- Schedule requirement: Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Orthopedics experience
- Trauma experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience in post-operative care
- Trauma experience
Skills / Role Focus
- Post-op care management with a multidisciplinary team
Additional Notes
- Meditech is used for documentation
- Royal blue scrubs required; black, white, or royal blue jackets allowed
- Pathways are available for individual surgeons/physicians to support orientation and familiarity
