RN - NICU

Job Overview

Location: Irving, Texas
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 36
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
Weekend rotation: Yes
Floating: May float as needed to the newborn nursery
Charge RN: Must be willing to serve as charge RN

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
STABLE
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Experience / Skills

Care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation
Experience with central lines
Stabilization experience and attending deliveries
Developmental care
Family-centered care

Preferred

Meditech experience

Unit Procedures

Assist with line placement
Assist with circumcision
Assist with intubation

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours: 36
Documentation systems used on the unit include Meditech and CPNS
