RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Job type: Travel RN
- Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekly hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
- Call: None
- Float: Must be willing to float
- Patient ratio: 4–6:1
- Patient population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients age 13 and older
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Orthopedics experience
Unit Details
- Specialty areas: Ortho, post-operative, Med/Surg
- Common cases: Post-op joints, post-op bariatric, post-op GI, trauma patients
- Bed count: 23
- Trauma level: III
Additional Notes
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
- Travel eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
- State requirement: Tennessee Abuse Registry check required before start
- Dress code: Any scrub color; T-shirts must have hospital logo; no acrylic nails
