Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Fullerton, California
- Start: ASAP
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 per week
- Patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Advanced
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
- EPIC EHR experience
Schedule and Unit Expectations
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Weekend work is required, and may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Must be open to floating to mother-baby
- On-call is not required
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
- Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed
- Requests related to additional employment will not be considered
- RTO must be included at time of submission
Compliance and Pre-Start Items
- Pending license is not accepted
- Fit mask clearance is required for travel starts
- Respiratory safety clearance is required for travel starts
- Physical exam is required within 1 year of start
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray is required
- Drug screening is required
- Flu vaccination or declination is required during flu season
- COVID vaccination documentation or declination is required
- References: minimum of 2 covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
- Work history verification may be required if used in place of reference requirements
