Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP
Antepartum experience

Clinical Skills / Experience

Magnesium sulfate drip management
Oxytocin management
Insulin drip management
Sterile vaginal exams
FSE/IUPC placement
Circulating cesarean sections
NSTs
Oxytocin induction/augmentation
Magnesium sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection
Insulin drip titration

Unit Details

Labor and delivery unit with OBED, antepartum, labor, LDOR, and LD PACU areas
Floating may include APU
Flexible schedule expectations
4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
Shift cancellation may occur up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract depending on census

Preferred

Transition care nursing of neonates experience is useful but not required

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs, top and bottom
