ICU RN Travel Assignment

Smyrna, Tennessee

13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Ventilator and sedation management
Medication titration

Unit Details

ICU with 16 beds
Patient ratio: 2:1
Uses Meditech for documentation
Every other weekend scheduling
Floating occurs in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers

Clinical Skills and Experience

Procedures on the unit include trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion

Patient Care Expectations

AIDET
Completion of communication board
Medication teaching

Work Environment

Tech support available on the unit
Equipment includes GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis med dispense, and Drager vents
Required uniform: charcoal gray scrubs
