MS/Tele RN

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Anchorage, Alaska
13-week assignment
Night shift: 3x12s
Start: ASAP
First-time travelers accepted
May float to like units as needed
Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend, depending on staffing
Block scheduling is not available
Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Guaranteed hours: 60 per 2 weeks, with possible call-off of 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alaska
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Co-care/virtual nursing model with bedside RN, virtual RN, and CNA
Bedside RN to patient ratio: 1:6
Virtual nurse supports admissions, discharge education, care plans, education, CIWA, and MD follow-up
Patient population includes surgical, medical, cancer-related, lung, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder cases
