Speech Therapist

Job Overview

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin
Employment type: Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm
Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Wisconsin
BLS

Responsibilities

Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Complete documentation, including evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
Educate staff on evaluation results, recommendations, and current research-based guidance
Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient-centered treatment
Clean treatment rooms after sessions
Provide reminder calls to patients
Help patients and families navigate the hospital
Perform other assigned duties
