ICU RN
Job Overview
- Contract assignment in Waimea, Hawaii
- ICU/CCU role in a 4-bed, 4-room unit
- 13-week contract
- Night/rotating schedule
- 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Must be open to working any shift
Patient Care Setting
- Provides care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Serves surgical patients and patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions
- Patient ratio is 1:2 depending on acuity
- If one of two patients is on a ventilator, a second nurse will be called in
- May float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER based on competency
- Includes after-hours PACU recovery coverage
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU experience with 2 years of experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- ED - Emergency Department experience
- BLS
- ACLS
Preferred Experience
- Emergency room experience recommended
Orientation
- Hospital orientation through HR and in-service
- Unit orientation with the nurse manager
- 1–2 day shifts and 1–2 night shifts with a staff RN
- Orientation/competency binder must be completed
