Registered Nurse

Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Rotating
Hours per Week: 36

Overview

Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with a goal of wellness and recovery.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Wyoming
  • Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Nursery experience
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
  • Pediatrics experience

Experience

  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • NICU experience

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within scope of practice
  • Provide patient education
  • Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders
  • Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
  • Complete required fetal monitoring classes if working in Labor and Delivery

Skills

  • Strong customer service, communication, listening, organization, time management, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills
  • Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs
