Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy
- Facility Size: 240 beds
- Respiratory Therapy Staff: 15 RTs
- Minimum Staffing: 3 RTs on day shift, 3 RTs on night shift
- Patient Load: Approximately 30-40 points per shift
- Equipment Used: Hamilton G5 ventilators
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Job Description
- Provide respiratory treatments and therapies
- Ventilator setup and management
- Assist with intubations
- Perform arterial blood gases (ABG)
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
- Work across multiple units including Emergency Department (ED), Pediatrics (PEDS), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal ICU (NICU), Medical, and Surgical units
- Play a key role in NICU and ICU for therapy and ventilator liberation
- Autonomy in clinical decision-making is required
- Flexible scheduling available
- Collaborative, team-player personality preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado
- Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Experience in Pediatric ICU (PICU) and Neonatal ICU (NICU) settings
