Job Overview

Location: Tomball, Texas

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
ACLS
BLS
EFM
NRP

Unit Details

Labor and delivery unit
11 beds
AWHONN patient ratios
Rotating weekends
On-call not required

Key Clinical Skills

Independent labor and delivery skills, including cervical checks, OR circulation, IV starts, and medication management
Labor management

Preferred Experience

Device placement such as IUPC and FSE
Newborn transition

Common Procedures

Vaginal deliveries
C-section deliveries
Pre-op/PACU care

Work Environment

7th floor, main tower
Standard GE labor and delivery fetal monitoring
Wireless monitoring
Baxter IV pumps
Meditech Expanse and GE CPN Connect
