RN - PACU

Job Overview

Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Shift: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Critical Care experience

Preferred Experience

Stroke care experience

Unit Details

PACU with pre-op and recovery for patients receiving anesthesia
Staff float between PACU areas
Typical cases include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, robotics, interventional radiology, TAVR, and stroke-related care
Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients sometimes up to 3
GE monitors are used
Meditech is the EMR

Work Environment
