Job Overview

- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Call: No call required
- Weekends: Rotating
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Meditech experience
- Trauma experience
- Holding inpatient experience
- CPI
Unit Details
- Emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track spaces, and 5 behavioral health spaces
- Patient ratios: 1:4 in ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
- Common equipment includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
Work Environment
- Team-oriented, multitasking, and self-starting environment
- Typical duties include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens use, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
