Labor and Delivery RN

Key role details

LDRP OB nurse role in a small critical access hospital
Responsibilities include triage, labor, recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care
Floating between units is required
Weekends are required and are equally split among staff
On-call is not required
Block scheduling is not required
48 hours are approved
Expected patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6
Must work at least one winter holiday
Scrub color: any color; OR provided
Parking is free

Required qualifications

Current RN license
Seasoned travelers only
NURSYS verification required
ACLS certification
BLS certification
PALS certification
NRP certification
EFM certification
TNCC certification
Chemo certification
IV certification
NIH Stroke certification
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
Competency exam
Color blind testing, if required for the unit
Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Employment application with at least the last 5 years of employment history
Work history verification may be required if used in place of reference requirements

Health and onboarding requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit mask clearance
Tdap within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, flu, COVID, drug screening, and respirator clearance documentation as required for travel candidates
