Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Provides perioperative nursing care, including preoperative assessment, care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation
- Assists with case setup using sterile technique
- Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning, operative site preparation, procedure/site confirmation, and transfer to and from the operating table
- Performs and documents surgical counts
- Assists with operating room cleanup after surgery, including disposal of used supplies and sharps
