RN - NICU

Schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- No call
Unit Details
- NICU with 6 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 3:1
- May float as needed to nursery / newborn nursery
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- Care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation
- Central line experience
- Stabilization experience / attending deliveries
- Developmental care
Procedures Performed
- Assist with line placement
- Assist with circumcision
- Assist with intubation
Patient Care Focus
- Family-centered care
Dress Code
- Royal blue medical scrubs
- Clean, natural nails only; no polish, artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
- Hair must be neat and clean; shoulder-length or longer hair must be pulled back when working in the lab
- Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
- No perfumes or lotions
