PACU RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Specialty: PACU / Preop / Phase II RN
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferences
- Pediatric experience preferred
Schedule and assignment details
- Variable day shift start times: 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, or 1100
- First-time travelers accepted
- On-call required: 1 call shift per week
- Call shifts are primarily overnight
- Nurses must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when called
- May float to like units within scope
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Pending license is accepted, with strong preference for license in hand

Additional notes
- Call sleep rooms are available for staff who live far away or prefer to stay on site
- Time off is reviewed individually upon offer and must be included in the submission
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with possible call-off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks

About
Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
