RN - PACU

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in an assigned hospital unit
- Complete unit-specific competencies for critically ill patients
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Complete clinical documentation and care plans in a timely manner
- Communicate patient information during handoffs, walking rounds, and provider interactions
- Maintain patient, visitor, and staff safety by following established procedures and protocols
- Complete hourly rounding with LNAs
- Assist with patient safety issue identification and correction
- Collaborate with nursing staff across units and shifts
- Delegate care and unit activities to other nursing personnel
- Support planning, supervision, and instruction of nurses and assistants
- Work with nursing students and instructors
- Participate in peer review and DNV survey readiness
Procedural / Unit-Specific Skills
- Assist with insertion of Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS
- Demonstrate contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion
- Safely administer procedural sedation
- Complete annual sedation examination
- Document sedation according to policy
Additional Notes
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
- The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
