Orthopedic Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Pocatello, Idaho
Night shift: 4x12 hours
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit accepts first-time travelers
No local candidates within a 100-mile radius
Patient ratio: 1:5
Unit size: 10 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Idaho
Orthopedics (1 year of experience)
Orthopedics experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care using the nursing process
Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions
Prioritize, delegate, deliver, evaluate, and communicate care with providers and leaders
Provide specialized care for patients with musculoskeletal issues, including post-operative orthopedic patients, injury recovery, chronic condition management, and patient/family education

Compliance / Onboarding

Drivers license or state ID required

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit test within 1 year of start
Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
