RN - Emergency Department
Overview
- Travel RN position in Hickory, North Carolina
- Specialty: Emergency Services
- Shift: 7p–7a
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
Schedule / Work Setting
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Call may require adjusted hours depending on census
- Float support in areas where competencies are held
Unit Details
- Emergency Department with 32 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
- Handles patients from birth to death
- Fast-paced environment with critical care equipment
Candidate Fit
- Strong patient and family communication skills
- Critical thinking and stamina
- Experience with fast-paced ED work, strokes, STEMI, and trauma is preferred
