RN - Medical/Surgical
Overview
- Travel RN position in Marquette, Michigan
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Rotating weekends
- Occasional floating to a similar unit
- Bi-weekly orientation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Preferred
- BSN preferred
- Experience on a medical/surgical unit preferred
Unit Details
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Typical patient ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
- Trauma Level 2
- Acute medical/surgical department
Work Environment
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment
Dress Code
- Galaxy Blue scrubs; navy is also acceptable
- Fingernails must be kept clean, not excessively long, and compliant with hand hygiene policy
- Tattoos considered offensive to patients must be covered
- Excessive jewelry is not allowed
Housing
- Housing recommendations available in Marquette and nearby areas (at additional cost)
