Progressive Care RN Travel Assignment

Overview

Location: Bryson City, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 36
Openings: 1
Unit size: 17 beds
Patient population: Adults 18+, mostly 65+
Patient ratio: 1:6 max
Call: None
Weekend schedule: Weekend rotation; weekend shifts can be accommodated if needed
Float: May float between two hospitals on Med-Surg or equivalent nursing experience
Shift: Not specified

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
ACLS
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
PICC/CVC management
Med Surg experience

Unit Details

Medical-surgical / progressive care setting
Inpatient, observation, and swing bed services
No surgeries performed in the building
24-hour provider coverage
24-hour CT, X-ray, and lab available

Additional Notes

Must be at least 60 miles away to be considered for travel status
Orientation dates are scheduled throughout 2026
