RN - MSU/PCU
Job Overview
- Contract RN position in Clarkston, Washington
- Day shift
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (3 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience
Role Responsibilities
- Provide patient education using appropriate education methods
- Support patient safety using preventative measures and follow restraint policy
- Operate equipment safely in PCU, telemetry, and MedSurg areas
- Troubleshoot equipment and access manuals as needed
- Follow infection control, isolation, and standard precautions procedures
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and charge documentation
- Complete physician orders in a timely manner, including the 24-hour order check when applicable
- Give complete shift reports and communicate accurately with other departments
- Report critical lab values to the physician according to policy
- Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
