RN - NICU

Role Overview

Travel RN position in Pasadena, Texas
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

Level III/IV NICU experience
High-risk delivery attendance
Experience with ventilators, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, PICC/UVC/UAC lines, and neonatal resuscitation

Unit Details

NICU with 25 beds
Patient ratios: Level 2 1:2-3; Level 3 1:3-4
Floating may include Mother-Baby/Postpartum

Common Procedures

Neonatal resuscitation
Respiratory support
Feeding tube placement
IV/central line care
Blood draws
Phototherapy
Medication and infusion administration
Thermoregulation
Care of critically ill neonates

Work Environment

Calm under pressure, compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with families

Schedule / Dress Code

36 hours per week
Royal blue scrubs
