RN - ICU
Job Overview
- Travel RN position in Dallas, Texas
- 13-week assignment
- 36 hours per week
- ICU unit with 16 beds
- Estimated patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- CCRN
- Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocol
- Meditech experience
Unit Details
- Floating as needed
- Flexible scheduling; schedule is provided about a month in advance
- Weekend and call requirements are discussed during the interview
- Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor
Patient Population / Procedures
- Surgical patients, especially oncology
- ICU procedures may include central line placements, bedside thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
Work Attire
- Royal blue scrubs for RNs
- Clean, natural nails only; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
- Hair must be neat and clean; shoulder-length or longer hair must be tied back when working in the lab
- Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
