RN - Labor and Delivery

Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend rotation
- Call requirements to be discussed during interview
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Unit Overview
- Labor and delivery unit in a women’s hospital
- High-risk obstetrical unit
- 24 beds
- Typical patient ratios: 2:1 and 3:1 for OBED triage
- May float to the antepartum unit within Women’s
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- AWHONN
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- Experience working with High Risk patients
Procedures / Clinical Experience
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- D&C
- Post-delivery recovery care
Preferred Certification
- Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate
Additional Notes
- Uses Meditech and CPN for documentation
- GE fetal monitors used on the unit
