RN - ICU
Job Overview
- Travel RN position in San Antonio, Texas
- 13-week assignment
- 36 hours per week
- Shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Rotating weekends
- No call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- ICU setting with MSICU focus
- Travelers are required to float
- Documentation system used on the unit: Meditech
Key Skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- ICU experience
- MICU/MSICU background preferred

- Chest tubes
- Tracheostomies
- GI scopes
- Intubations
- Central lines
- Arterial lines
- NG tubes
- Foley catheters
- Dressing changes
Work Expectations
- Badge in and out for shifts
- Take a full 30-minute lunch
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
Dress Code
- Navy scrub top and pants
- Navy or white scrub jacket
- Clean, healthy nails
- Neat, clean hair
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
