Job Summary
- Job Title: Surgical Unit Nights
- Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
- Specialty: Nursing

Unit Details
- Primarily an adult surgical unit with a few pediatric patient beds
- May be required to float to other units
Schedule
- Every other weekend and holiday
- 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- NIHSS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice laws
- Document care according to standards of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction
- Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments as needed
- Use critical thinking to support patient safety and patient experience, and escalate appropriately
