RN - Medical/Surgical

Job Overview

Location: Watertown, Wisconsin
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Openings: 2

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule & Work Setting

Typically rotates into every third weekend
No call requirements
May float as a sitter to Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU if needed; rare

Preferred

ACLS certification preferred
Post-surgical experience preferred

Unit Details

Medical/Surgical floors
32 beds
Typical patient ratio: 4–6 patients per RN
Common patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics
Common diagnoses/treatments include sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative care

Additional Notes

Weekly orientations
Local rate is reduced compared with travel rate
Scrub colors allowed: navy blue, royal blue, Caribbean blue, black, or gray
No hoodies, sweatshirts, or fleece
