Assignment Details

Travel role
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Unit: PICU
Self-scheduling available
Floating: Peds and NICU
Schedule requirement: 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
PALS

Unit Information

9 beds
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 1–2 patients in PICU; 1 RN to 2–3 patients in stepdown
Documentation system: Cerner
Equipment includes Alaris pumps

Clinical Skills / Procedures

IV starts
Caths
Holding for LPs
Central line dressing changes
Hemodynamic monitoring
Trach care
Tube feeding and placement
ICP monitoring
Ventilator management

Dress Code

Navy blue or white scrubs
Navy pants with white tops are also acceptable
