Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location
- Watertown, New York
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 8-hour day shifts
- 40 hours per week
Schedule
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required
- On-call response time: 30 minutes
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Preceptorship experience
- Charge and leadership abilities
- Experience with prioritizing and delegating
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Creative problem-solving skills
Job Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care in the operating room
- Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Recognize safety issues and use lifts safely when moving patients
- May be required to function as charge nurse
- Use typical clinical equipment and instrumentation in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
