Nuclear Medicine Tech

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Charlotte, North Carolina
  • 13-week contract
  • Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Adults/Geriatrics
  • Outpatient cardiology clinic setting
  • No call, float, or weekend requirement
  • Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2 years of experience
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT
  • Adult and Nuclear Cardiology work settings experience
  • Rest/Stress and Amyloid (PYP) procedures experience
  • Exercise/Rest-Multiple myocardial imaging experience
  • Exercise/Rest-Single myocardial imaging experience
  • Pharmacological Stress testing experience
  • Radioactive materials storage, handling, and disposal

Preferred

  • Outpatient Clinic experience
  • ACLS

Unit Details

  • Performs cardiology studies only, including stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) studies
  • Average daily census: 10–12
  • Ratio: 1:4
  • Equipment includes Hot Lab Equipment, Dose Calibrator, Well Counter, and 2 Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras

Scheduling / Start Expectations

  • Start date is subject to class and trainer availability
  • Travelers may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week
  • Must be fully available with no other commitments for possible schedule changes
  • Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel the start
  • Final start date is confirmed the Tuesday before the start week
  • In-clinic orientation is 40 hours

Additional Notes

  • Scrubs are not provided; royal blue is preferred
  • EPIC experience is used in the unit
