RN - Rapid Response
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Wichita, Kansas
- 6-week contract
- 48 hours per week
- Unit: ICU / Surgical ICU
- 26-bed unit on the 2nd floor
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- 1 year of Critical Care Float experience
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Rapid Response experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Preferred
- TNCC
- Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities
Unit Details
- Staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech on both day and night shifts
- Estimated patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity including post CABG patients
- Equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, and ECMO
- Common patient types and procedures include trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, general post-surgical ICU patients, chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
