Physical Therapist

Overview

• Travel assignment in Longview, Texas
• Immediate start
• 13-week contract
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: 8am-4pm
• Weekend hours as needed
• 1 opening

Unit / Setting

• Facility floor: 1
• Unit has 36 beds
• Patient ratio: 5 to 6
• Equipment: Therapeutic Equipment
• EHR: Wellsky

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred

• Previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English
• Additional languages

Clinical Focus

• Wide variety of neuro diagnoses, including CVA, Parkinsons, Spinal Cord, SCI, TBI, Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Amputee, and Medically Complex

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs
• Assesses patient needs and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions
• Works with the patient care team to maintain standards of professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Observes and evaluates treatment effect and progress toward short- and long-term goals
• Recommends changes to the physician when needed
