Valid RN license in Texas
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
AWHONN
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor management
Circulating a cesarean section

Unit Details

Day shift staffing includes 1 charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, and 1 HUC
Night shift staffing includes 1 charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, and 1-2 OB techs
Patient ratios include 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery; 2-3 antepartum patients
Uses GE fetal monitoring
On-call requirement: 1-2 shifts per schedule
May float to Mother Baby if needed, and may also be used outside Women’s as a resource only
