RN - Rapid Response
Overview
- Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
- 6-week contract
- 48 hours guaranteed
- Overtime after 48 hours
- RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated
Unit
- Emergency Dept. (ER)
- 101 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
- No floating outside the ED; must be open to floating to all sections in the ED
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience as a Critical Care Float
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Rapid Response experience
- ED - Emergency Department experience
- BLS
- ACLS before starting date
- PALS before starting date
- TNCC before starting date
- CPI before starting date
- NIHSS before starting date
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Preferred
- Previous HCA experience
Scheduling
- Every other weekend
- Cannot commit to block scheduling
- Scheduling must meet department needs
Additional Details
- Orientation includes 4 hours of hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
- Required uniform: navy scrubs
- Techs work in the cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area
- Unit clerks are available days and nights
