RN - Rapid Response

Overview

  • Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
  • 6-week contract
  • 48 hours guaranteed
  • Overtime after 48 hours
  • RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated

Unit

  • Emergency Dept. (ER)
  • 101 beds
  • Typical patient ratio: 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
  • No floating outside the ED; must be open to floating to all sections in the ED

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Critical Care Float experience within the last year
  • 2 years of experience as a Critical Care Float
  • Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
  • Rapid Response experience
  • ED - Emergency Department experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS before starting date
  • PALS before starting date
  • TNCC before starting date
  • CPI before starting date
  • NIHSS before starting date
  • ENPC within 90 days of hire

Preferred

  • Previous HCA experience

Scheduling

  • Every other weekend
  • Cannot commit to block scheduling
  • Scheduling must meet department needs

Additional Details

  • Orientation includes 4 hours of hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
  • Required uniform: navy scrubs
  • Techs work in the cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area
  • Unit clerks are available days and nights
