Job Overview

Location: Amarillo, Texas
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Weekly hours: 48
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit type: Mixed med/surg and intermediate care
Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:6
Local candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius
Travelers: First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Med Surg experience

Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
Color blind testing
Unit-specific skills checklist annually
