PACU RN

Overview

Travel assignment in San Antonio, Texas
Adult PACU
18 bays
36 hours per week
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2300–0730
No on-call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU level of care competency

Preferred Qualifications

CPAN
TCAR

Unit Details

25 staff
Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT
Night shift is currently 2 RNs on call and is moving to 24/7 coverage
This position provides 1 nurse in house and the 2nd nurse for night cases will be on call
Patient ratios: 1:1 for the first 30 minutes or ICU LOC; 2:1 when stable
2 RNs are required in PACU at all times when a patient is present
EMR: Meditech Magic
Floating area: N/A
Preferred personality fit: proactive, team player
