Registered Nurse BMT/Oncology

Assignment Details

  • Travel/contract role in Aurora, Colorado
  • 13-week contract
  • Rotating schedule
  • 3x12 shifts: 7:00–19:00 and 19:00–7:00
  • Weekend coverage required per unit needs
  • On-call not required
  • Floating required between BMT/Onc and CTU units
  • May also float to sister facilities in the metro region based on facility needs
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of Bone Marrow Transplant experience
  • Bone Marrow Transplant experience within the last year
  • Experience in an acute care setting
  • Chemotherapy administration experience
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • ONS/ONCC

Unit Overview

  • 51-bed unit
  • Cares for patients with blood cancers receiving chemo/biotherapies and cellular therapies, including stem cell transplants and CAR-T
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are 3–4:1 and may flex based on staffing and unit needs
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
