Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Aurora, Colorado
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Specialty: Mother Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Post Partum (1 year of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience
- Antepartum experience
Schedule / Assignment Details
- Call is required per unit needs
- Weekend coverage is required per unit needs
- Does not float within scope to meet facility needs
- Float required: antepartum-trained RN with fetal monitoring experience to L&D
Unit Details
- Postpartum unit for patients who do not need ICU-level care
- Newborn patients do not need NICU-level care
- High-risk patient population
- Typical ratio: 1:3 couplets, up to 6 patients
- 32 beds
Clinical Experience / Patient Population
- Antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience
- Newborns 2000 g and above
- Late preterm infants
- Substance-exposed newborns
- Phototherapy
- Magnesium drips
- Insulin drips
- Heparin drips
- PCA and PCEA pumps
- Breastfeeding support for postpartum patients
