RN LDRP/OB

Overview

Contract assignment in Grants, New Mexico
13-week contract
36 hours per week
12-hour nights, with possible holiday/weekend coverage

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS
NRP
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
AWHONN
C-EFM
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
SAFER NM Technician certification

Clinical Focus

Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
Skilled in perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment
Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance

Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Provide direct patient care across the lifespan
Educate patients and families
Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel
Maintain documentation in the electronic health record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and professional development
Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training
