Travel Med Surg/Tele RN

Overview

Travel assignment in Statesboro, Georgia
Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Nights, 6:45p-7:15a
Every other weekend required
Floating required
Holidays required
Schedule varies based on unit need
Auto offers only; no interviews

Unit / Setting

35-bed unit
Floating is between Med Surg and Tele departments only
Services include Med Surg, Remote Tele, Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory
Patient ratio: 1:6-7
PCT has 14 patients
No call required
Scrub color: navy blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
2 or more completed travel assignments
BLS
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience with Cerner

Role Details

Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring
Responsible for patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Directs and coordinates nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices
Collaborates with other disciplines to support patient care and outcomes
Medication administration uses scanning at bedside
