Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Trauma) RN
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Start ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift options: Days 7A-7P or Nights 7P-7A
- Every other weekend required
- Call: none
- Block scheduling accepted if it accommodates every other weekend
- Floating required to any other med-surg or tele units
- Patient ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
- Unit has 24 beds
- Facility has 396 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Keen neuro assessments
- Critical thinking skills
- Drain management
- Must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred
- None stated
Clinical Scope
- Higher med-surg acuity with post-op spinal surgeries
- Level 2 trauma patients
- Level 1 trauma post-ICU care
- Stroke patients
- DKA
- Renal failure
- General post-op care
Additional Notes
- Cerner is listed as the EMR
- Up to 1 week of pre-approved time off can be accommodated
