Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Eureka, California
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 18:00–6:00
- Hours per week: 36
- First-time traveler accepted
- Weekend requirement: yes, to meet staffing needs
- Float: yes, travelers are first to float within their scope
- Unit details: 11 rooms/beds, average daily census 15–20, about 20 visits/day
- Post partum preferred
- Hospital cares for high-risk OB and a culturally diverse population
- RNs circulate on cesarean sections
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Pending license not accepted
- No more than 7 days of RTO
Preferred Qualifications
- Post partum experience
Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- EFM
- IV Certification
- NIH Stroke Certification
- MAB
- CHEMO
- TNCC
Other Requirements
- References: minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
- Skills checklist required for applicable unit and updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask required
- Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, flu season vaccination/documentation, COVID documentation, drug testing, and respirator clearance are required as listed in the source
